What 47 can do that 47,000 can't

SUPPORTED BY HELLUVA PARTNERSHIP

Hey Reader,

You don't need more followers.

You need the right ones.

The people you actually connect with, the clients you actually want to help, the friends you want to grow alongside.

The Myth of More

Somewhere along the way, we were sold the idea that reach equals value. We were told the goal is always bigger, broader, louder, and that if you don't have ten thousand (or more!) followers, you don't have a real business.

Bollocks.

I went viral on TikTok and had two million views (a video about Brazil nuts) and 3500 followers came in overnight––none of which would (or even could) become a client.

The clients who built my business weren't found through viral moments. They were found through one generous conversation at a time, through one referral, through a person who quietly read my writing or watched my work and said, I want to work with her.

Depth did that. Not volume.

Not enough people build this way, but it works. Because when people actually know you, trust you, and feel seen by you, they don't need to be convinced. When they're ready, they're ready.

That's what this webinar is about.

"What’s in Tanya Moushi’s Kit?" is a look inside how I've built an intentional business. It's led by Kit's Creator Educator Shiv who walks through the tool, but I'll be answering questions and going deeper on the thinking behind building a small and mighty audience.

BEHIND THE BUSINESS

The $1,000 Question

Not many people know that Daily Inspire started with a thousand dollars.

It was COVID. Everything was uncertain and heavy and nobody really knew what to do—much like today.

I received a micro grant designed for the emotional wellbeing and support of entrepreneurs, and thought: good words. Something short, something steady, something worth reading every morning. That's what I'll do.

It started as a text message community. Then it became a daily email. And 417 emails later, it evolved into the biweekly newsletter it is today. That's how things grow when you tend to them—not always the way you planned, but forward.

So what else can a thousand dollars do? A newsletter. A hot dog stand. A roadtrip to LA. A pick-up page for a farmers market vendor with no website whose absence this weekend is felt. God I miss your oyster mushrooms, Mary.

$1,000 is small enough to be real and big enough to begin.

I don't have a program to announce (yet), but it's a question I'm sitting with and maybe you are too:

What would you build with a thousand dollars?

Would you want to hear those stories?

Big love,

tanya moushi ("moo-shee")
