Hey Reader,
The other day I was stretching using one of those giant foam rollers nobody really knows how to use.
I was on the living room rug, roller on my spine with my arms stretched wide, when I noticed a loose screw popping out of the leg of our coffee table.
I sat up and saw the screw was almost completely off. You could only see this from floor-level. One false move would collapse the whole thing.
How could I miss this?
I got up and twisted the screw back into place, and it struck me that if I hadn't been on the floor at that precise angle, I never would've caught it.
There are certain things you can only see from a specific perspective. It has nothing to do with being smart or strong or rich or wise.
Once you have the perspective, not only could you see the problem clearly, but you can usually fix it immediately.
As you can imagine, the metaphor struck me hard: some challenges require skills, money or experience, but other challenges require simply being able to see the problem.
BEHIND THE BUSINESS
Small Power is Big Power
In 2022, I published a tweet (with a typo and everything).
I got exactly one reply back asking which book it was, so I responded...
Steven Wilkinson saw the tweet, dug into my profile bio, bought my book, and invited me to Detroit for a conference (that had no tickets left) to have dinner with him and a few of his U.S. based clients.
The conference was less than a week away and my ticket to Detroit cost more than my roundtrip to Paris.
I met him and his clients for dinner, and the next day tagged along to tour one of the best local companies in the world.
Two years later, Steven reconnected me with one of his clients who happens to be the managing partner of one of the most noble residential real estate development companies here in Phoenix.
Last week I signed that client.
...all because I posted a picture of a book.
Please put your thoughts out there, follow what calls you, and let the world do its brilliant work.
COFFEE THOUGHT
204 degrees is in fact the best temperature for coffee.
