Supported by GUSTO Hey Reader, One thing I do at the end of every January is Feng Shui my home. A lot of people think Feng Shui is just about rearranging furniture to make a space feel “better.” But for me, it’s been a steady tool through health scares, relationship shifts, career pivots—and an annual ritual for both decluttering and creating peace. It’s also not as woo-woo as people think. In fact, it’s deeply practical. Take this example: Do you ever notice how sitting with your back to a door feels a little…unsafe? That’s Feng Shui. It’s not magic. It’s not rocket science. It’s actually environmental psychology coupled with Eastern Astrology. Not so crazy after all. And whether or not you’re into it, there’s value in asking yourself:

While it's awesome, it has forced me to pull things out of my brain and communicate them to someone else––which is not always an easy thing to do for a person with a Narnia-like inner world. I'm forced to clarify my thinking and admit bottlenecks. I'm learning to delegate and play towards my biggest strengths. But if I'm totally honest, not holding all the balls at once is fricken weird. So far, she’s:
Here it is, in its rather uncomplicated glory: WOoo. Ahhh. Putting this down on paper humbled me as I realized how much I carry and overcomplicate things. The truth is that business is a rather straightforward cycle, and while it's true that the nuance of everything matters (way more than people think), so does getting the basics right. Now I'm wealizing (I left that typo just for you) we don’t have to prove our value by doing everything alone. Who knew?
